The company

Holland Environment (formerly Hak Milieutechniek) has been developing solutions for the remediation of ground and groundwater since 1985. Soil contamination became a serious issue in the Netherlands in the 1980s, when it was put high on the political agenda as a result of the ‘Lekkerkerk Case’, a very expensive project which significantly overspent its budget. For us this marked the beginning of the development of electro-reclamation and electro-bioreclamation – innovative, patented techniques which use electrical current to silently end extremely effectively clean up soil and groundwater, without having to remove the soil from its location.

Our mission

Wherever there is soil pollution, we offer our clients and partners a total solution. Our advanced remediation approach takes into account the existing situation as well as the final plan for the location. We are constantly exploring new ways to solve problems related to contamination as efficiently and cheaply as possible. We aspire to be the most innovative provider of soil remediation solutions in the Netherlands and internationally, we intend to continue to market our proprietary technology through license agreements, joint projects, consultancy, training and support.
