Saipem project

Holland Environment works with a local implementation partner to identify, then qualify and finally bid for an environmental remediation project using our patented processes and technology. During this process we usually test soil samples to verify the soil structure, and contaminations present. We need detailed maps and photographs of the site to be able to provide an estimate of duration and cost of remediation.

When we are awarded the work, either for a pilot project or the full remediation, we inspect the site and design a remediation plan. We determine where electrodes need to placed, where our machines need to be installed and our partner performs local site preparation and installation. We then verify the site and jointly perform the remediation, reporting on our progress to the end-customer on a regular basis.

This process is described in more detail below.

Detailed partner collaboration

Introduction;  We would like to invite you and/or your colleagues to our office in Holland to introduce you to our organization and our technologies and to give you and your colleagues the opportunity to introduce yourselves and your organization, and to meet us.

Remediation Plan; The attractiveness and effectiveness of our remediation technologies depends on the nature of the contaminants, the nature of the soil, the location of the site, and the economic drivers affecting the pollution. During your visit we will discuss the choice of technology  w.r.t. electro-reclamation, the benefits of these, and the opportunities for and barriers against usage or introduction of our technologies in your local Market.

Feasibility study; We would like to discuss what constitutes a sensible pilot project in your country, if possible aided by a subsidy from your local government for joint (Local/Foreign) pilot projects in pollution remediation. To ensure that such a pilot project is as successful as possible, we recommend to do a feasibility study prior to starting a pilot project.

Reference Visits; We would like to introduce you to the Netherlands in general, and we would like to show you some pollution remediation projects that are currently active to show you how our projects work.

Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA); Prior to disclosing our proprietary technologies and patents to you, and prior to you sharing confidential commercial information with us we would like to enter into a reciprocal NDA with you. We will send you a proposed text in a separate e-mail.

Laboratory Test; Prior to starting a pilot test, we would like to perform a laboratory test on the soil and perform a site inspection. This will allow us to design the most appropriate remediation strategies and implementation.

Letter of Intent (LOI); Subsequent to performing the Laboratory Test and defining a remediation plan we would like to enter in the a Letter of Intent agreement with you detailing the outlines of a commercial agreement, and listing which activities we perform, and which activities you perform, and dependencies on one another, as well as an outline of the commercial agreements between ourselves, including outlines of fees and costs. We would intend to discuss this during your visit and complete the Letter by mail after identification and qualification of a suitable pilot project.

Pilot project; Based on the feasibility study, and after a successful laboratory test we would intend to perfom a site visit to be able to design a solution approach to the pollution remediation for the Pilot Project. In the detailed project plan, listing our respective activities and costings, we would also identify any subsidies for the work performed. This plan will be geared to ensuring that we have the highest chance of success of winning the follow-on actual remediation project.

Full project; After a successful pilot project we would jointly develop a project plan for the full remediation project. We will perform the following for/with you:

  • develop an approach and a plan to perform the remediation based upon the outcomes of the pilot project;
  • we will licence our technologies and supply you with equipment to perform the remediation;
  • we will train your staff, consult on your activities and inspect the quality of the work on your behalf;
  • we will work with you to provide progress reports on the remediation to your customer.

Further commercial exploitation. We will work with your business development staff to help them:

  • identify suitable opportunities;
  • qualify them on technical and financial terms;
  • sell the benefits of our technology.
